Library & Family room at Lancaster University
LU tasked us to create a family room in their library where parents could take their children while studying and not be conscious of other library users.
We began by creating partitions in between the current columns to divide the area, installing acoustic glass partitioning to create a feeling of openness and inclusion into the library.
All partitions were tape and jointed before being painted. Our electricians installed a dado trunking to the wall to allow flexible working and layout options.
Installed two new child safety radiators to ensure the room was kept warm.
Finally we installed furniture to the room and handed it back to our client.
